How the government is ruining the education of modern children.

As a student currently in our celebrated education system, I have first hand experience of the patronising, dumbed down farce that is our curriculum. Every day we are taught with exams in mind, and constant emphasis is placed on reaching our targets. Take for example, our German lesson's recent speaking exam, we didn't have to actually learn german to do well in it whatsoever. So geared towards reaching the necessary government set target they were, that they actually gave us a script of what we had to say. No knowledge of actually speaking german necessary to pass the test, just an aptitude for remembering a simple set of sentences. And it doesn't end there, in another English lesson recently, we had to write an essay, but as usual we were given an utterly stifling template filled with useful "prompts" that served to write the essay for us, needing only the addition of a few rote learned stock phrases to get a good grade. What's more, overachievers are frequently held back in their education, if they ask a question deemed too advanced by the condescending curriculum then they are told that "it's an A level question" or that "we'll do it next year", masking that fact that our poorly trained teachers are completely thrown by the slightest deviation from the government set lesson plan.

To sum up, dear reader, out education system is a pathetic wasteful scam, that only consistently gets better and better results due to our drip fed system of learning and pathetic common sense tests. This disgrace only furthers the international view of Britain in it's current form, as a rabble of uneducated hooligans, a view helped along by our needless international wars and the poor behaviors of our citizenry at any major sporting event.

The Hypocrisy Of Christmas Lights.

Have you noticed, dear reader, the Christmas lights going up at this festive time of year? I suppose, you being an ignorant buffoon, you thought them pretty, and jolly? Dear me, it's a wonder you can even breathe.

Christmas lights disgust me. People work hard to reduce their carbon footprint, and save energy, and help the environment. Then they go and waste huge amounts of energy lighting up the outdoors when most of the time people don't even look at them. The sheer scale of the energy wasted is nauseating, but the sheer hypocrisy of it is truly foul. Don't these people realise? Or do they simply do their utmost for the environment as long as it doesn't actually affect them in any significant way?

Just my little piece of Christmas Cheer.
